Mrs. Lapland was born on March 13, 1940 in Marshall to Kearney Holloween and Della Beatrice (Radle) Bushong.
She was a life long resident of the Marshall area. She was a stay at home mom while her children were young.
She then went to work for the Progressive Dynamics Company, working there for 23 years. Myona began her working career with Progressive Dynamics in 1972, where she built circuit boards and also served as a Line Leader. She retired in 1995.
On August 25, 1956, she married Lawrence B. Lapland in Marshall. He preceded her in death on June 28, 2013
Myona served as a 4-H leader in the areas of Leather Crafts and Rabbits. She and her husband loved traveling in their motor home. They enjoyed snowmobiling and were members of a Snowmobile Club traveling to many different locations throughout Michigan. Myona and Lawrence enjoyed spending time on their boat Sun Down II on Lake Michigan fishing.
She is survived by her three daughters Karen Cypret , Cindy (Todd) Calvin , Barbara (Nick) Young ; two sons Brian (Velvet) Lapland, Ronald (Laura) Lapland , 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Larry Lapland; and ten siblings.
Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.
