Joseph N. Dreiling, 84, Penokee, died Wednesday at the Trego Lemke Memorial Hospital in WaKenney where he had been a patient for three days. Dreiling a retired farmer, was born in Victoria Sept. 15, 1881.

He is survived by his widow, Julia Ann; five daughters, Mrs. Donald Massey, Olpe; Mrs. Pete Stefan, Garden City; Mrs. Benny Rome, Denver; Mrs. Everett Balster, Derby; and Mrs. Jack Toll, Morland; two sons, Alex, Hutchinson, and Elmer, Penokee; and two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Younger, Quinter; and Mrs. Dan Dreiling* [see below], Englewood, Colo.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Church in St. Peter. Father Alexander A. Leiker, C.P.P.S., will officiate at the Requiem High Mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at Spencer's Chapel in Hill City until 1 p.m. Friday when it will be moved to the Community Hall in St. Peter until the time of services. The Knights of Columbus will recite the Rosary at 8 p.m. Friday.
