Flossie Christina Burkel, 92, of Terre Haute, passed away Friday, March 20, 2015, at Signature Healthcare. She was born Sept. 28, 1922, in Mitchell, Ind., to Leonard and Laura (Wedgewood) Grissom. She married Roy William Burkel Sr.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Husband; several siblings; several nieces and nephews; two great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Christina worked for many years for Vigo County School Corporation in the cafeteria. She enjoyed crocheting. Christina was the "Bunco Queen" and always looked forward to games.
