The death date comes from the records of Milan Christian Church (published in "the Dutchess" Vol. 8, No. 1 [Fall 1980], p. 5).... which states that she died "after long suffering". She had been received in membership at the church on 2 Nov. 1833, as wife of R. Conly (I believe this is an error & should have been W. Conly). Rhoda, age 67, had made her will on 14 May 1874, naming her as her heirs, her husband, Franklin Rockwell, & sister, Elizabeth Burnett, wife of Henry Burnett of Saugerties, NY. (Dutchess Co, NY Wills Vol. 003 (1874-1876), pp. 80-82. The 1973 Inventory of Milan-Union Cemetery (p. 12 Additions & Corrections) lists William Connolly with Rhoda Rockwell Died (rest of stone buried).
