Robert D. Long, 72, of Brookeland, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Shultz Funeral Home in Jasper.
A native of Port Arthur, Texas, he lived in Brookeland since 1998. He was a 1961 graduate of Port Neches High School, he was a Lieutenant in the Port Arthur Fire Department, and he worked for Neches Butane.
He is preceded in death by his brother Frank Long.
He is survived by his daughters Lori Lovett of Jasper, Texas, Krystal Weber & husband Aaron of Orange, Texas, and Sally Smith of Vidor, Texas; sons Joey Long and Shannon Long of Washington State; brothers Jerry Long & wife Milda Long of Brookeland, Texas, Kenneth Long & wife Lupe Long of Brookeland, Texas, and Royce Long of California; a sister Dianne White of Alexandria, Louisiana, grandchildren Shelley, Matthew, Sydney, Shanna, Chasity, Joseph, Britta, Danielle, Lexey, Heather, Krystyna, Miranda, Shannon Jo, Michael & Jordan, as well as 20 great grandchildren.
