OBITUARY - (newspaper unknown)
Lena May Duckworth was born in the town of Lisbon, this county, June 26, 1878, and died March 23, 1930, at the Wisconsin General hospital, Madison, following an operation for removal of goiter. She obtained her education in rural schools and in the public schools of New Lisbon. On April 14, 1900, she was married to George H. Krohmer of this city. Unto this union three children were born all of whom survive, viz: Victor of Iron Mountain, Michigan; Mrs. Vivian Hanson of Watertown, and Lylas of Port Washington, Wisconsin. She is also survived by her husband, her mother, Mrs. David Duckworth; a brother, Wm. R. Duckworth of town of Lisbon; two sisters, Mrs. Chris. Martin of this city, and Mrs. Fred Wagner of town of Orange.

She was a member of the local M. E. church, the Ladies Aid Society, and the Royal Neighbors lodge of this city.

Mrs. Krohmer was ill a long time but seldom complained. Her condition became serious about two months ago. Three weeks ago she went to the hospital for treatment, and underwent an operation last Saturday.

Her body was brought here last Sunday, and funeral services were held yesterday (Wednesday) from the M. E. church, Rev. David H. LaVinn officiating. The Royal Neighbors attended in a body. The church was filled with sympathetic friends and relatives. Floral tributes from business men of this city, relatives and friends were profuse and most beautiful. Burial was in the New Lisbon Cemetery beside her father, and an infant brother. D. M. Lamson was the funeral director.

Out of town relatives present were: Mr. & Mrs. Victor Krohmer, their son and little daughter, Mr. & Mrs. F. C. Krohmer of Watertown, Mr. & Mrs. Fred Wagner, Mr. & Mrs. W. R. Duckworth, Mr. & Mrs. Irvin Kelk of Tomah, and Mr. & Mrs. Edwin Meredith.

Mrs. Krohmer's death came as a shock to this community, where she had lived so many years and was esteemed and respected by all. She was a faithful and loving wife, a devoted mother, a helpful and cheerful friend.
