Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Mish Funeral Home Chapel for Vyvian May Hansen, 88, who died March 3, following a long illness. Pastor Scott Allred of Saint Marks United Methodist Church will officiate. Mrs. Hansen was born Oct. 29, 1903 in New Lisbon, Wisconsin and had resided in Bakersfield Adult School and was a member of the St. Marks United Methodist Church, where she previously served as President of the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Jean Goff of Bakersfield and a son, Walter George Hansen of Washington D.C.; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren with two more on the way. Pallbearers will include Don Newberry, Bruce Mooney, Hank McCune, Walter Mills, George Fowler, Charles Hudson. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family suggests donations to St. Marks United Methodist Church in her memory. Visitations from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
