Dean graduated from Hartford City High School in 1953. He served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959.
He married Christena “Chris” Mae (Helm) on April 7, 1958 in Hartford City.
Dean owned and operated Rinker Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning for 27 years, retiring on July 1, 2005. He was an avid woodworker, gardener and loved to groom his lawn. Dean never met a stranger and always enjoyed talking to people.
Survivors are Christena “Chris” Mae Rinker of Hartford City; sons, Roger Denton (wife, Julia) Rinker of Fishers; Michael “Mike” Dean Rinker of Hartford City.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 North High Street, Hartford City. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory, Muncie
