Fred Elliott, a retired maintenance man for the state of Louisiana and a resident of Baton Rouge Health Care Center, died at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1999, at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary. He was 77 and a native of Bienville Parish.

Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker. Graveside services at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Ron DeWitt of First Baptist Deaf Church.

He is survived by a half-sister, Onie Prestridge, Sarepta; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his infant son; his wife, Pearl Lenora Elliott; and parents.

He was a member of First Baptist Deaf Church.
