Eudie Mae Houston, 72, of Sarepta died Friday afternoon in Community Hospital in Springhill after a long illness.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in New Sarepta Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard May officiating. Burial will be in Old Sarepta Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary of Springhill.

Survivors include her husband, E.L. Houston of Sarepta; two daughters, June Kendrick of Pasadena, Texas, and Willie Mae Whitehead of Baton Rouge; two sons, Reece J. Miller of Chickasaw, Ala., and Cecil L. Miller of Fairhope, Ala.; four sisters, Lucy Davis of Shreveport, Mable Breland of Baton Rouge, and Irene Beckeham and Onie Prestridge, both of Sarepta; four brothers, Allen Elliott of Ringgold, Fred Elliott of Baton Rouge, Emmitt Osborne of Plain Dealing and Henry Osborne of Sarepta; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
