The name on this memorial is somewhat problematic. Caleb and Rebecca Ayars did, indeed, have a child "born 11 Jan 1732/3" as recorded in the Register of Cohansey Seventh Day Baptist Church, Shiloh, New Jersey. However, the named is rendered "Benjemen" therein. Additional, he is mentioned as "Benjamin" (apparently deceased) in the 1759 will of his brother John's will. John mentioned "cousins John and Abliah, sons of Benjamin Ayars, (both under age)." The date of Death is also questionable. I think he would have to have been older than 19 or 20 to have married and have two children. His Date of Death is more likely to have been shortly before 2 Feb 1759 when John's will was written, making his age at death about 25 or so. No clue who is/was the mother of John and Abliah. Caleb Ayars is my 7th Great Uncle
