DALLASTOWN Richard Clayton "Dick" Hopkins, 76, died Monday, March 9, 2015, of natural causes at his home. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Joanne (Lemmon) Hopkins who passed away December 27, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, with Pastor Mark Fair officiating. There will be no viewing. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, Md. at a later date. Mr. Hopkins was born on November 27, 1938, in Baltimore, a son of the late Samuel Henry and Grace Olivia (Harris) Hopkins. He was a graduate of City College High School in Baltimore and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He had been employed as a Data Base Administrator with Western Electric in Baltimore and AT&T in Orlando, Fla. until his retirement in 1990. Dick was a member of the Dallastown American Legion Post 605, the Parkville (MD) American Legion Post #183, Point Breeze Camera Club and Rangers Social Club in Baltimore. He leaves three daughters, Linda Hopkins Wood and her husband Richard of New Freedom, Suzanne Hopkins of Shrewsbury, Terry Ann Bills and her husband Ed of York; grandchildren, Scott Guenther, Austin, Carson and Mason Wood; step grandchildren, Edward, Ben and Annabel Bills; two brothers, Donald Hopkins of Westminster, Md. and Samuel Hopkins of Upperco, Md. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jacobus Lions Ambulance Club, 18 S. Main St., Jacobus, PA 17407; or to Goodwill Fire Company #1 of Jacobus, 1 S. Main St., Jacobus, PA 17407.
