Mr. Jonathan Barney "JB" Holcombe, III, age 73 of Ellijay, Georgia passed on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at his residence. He attended New Vision Pentecostal Church. Born February 17, 1942 in Atlanta, Georgia to his late parents Jonathan B. Holcombe, II and Ruby May Rich Holcomb. He was a graduate of West Fulton High School Class of 1960, and was self employed as a jeweler. Mr. Holcombe served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He is preceded in death by his sister, Estrelitta Trippe, brother Richard Holcombe, and nephew Michael Trippe.

Mr. Holcombe is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda Diane Baxter Holcombe of the home in Ellijay, GA; Stepdaughter, Casondra L. Massey of Ellijay, GA; Stepson, Charles Lewis of McCaysville, GA; Grandsons, Charles Lewis, Jr. of Woodstock, GA and Joseph Massey of Ellijay, GA; Niece, Angela Trippe McCormack of New York; Several cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2015 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Dr. Hal Doster, Pastor Irene Wofford and Rev. Allan Tarr officiating. Immediately following the service, military graveside service will take place in the Logan Funeral Home
pavilion with Military Rites performed by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Ronald Kynch, Shaun Hobson, Charles Lewis, Bobby Cantrell, Jody Dilbeck and Charles Lewis, Jr. A graveside Interment will be held on Monday, March 16th, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
