Mr. Gerald Edward Carter was born on April 18, 1939 in rural Tallapoosa County, AL and went home to be with the Lord on March 9, 2015 at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga. He was preceded in death by his father, Bud Carter; his mother, Vertie Carter and his brother, Leo Carter. He is survived by his wife, Jackie; children, Michele Weldon (Jerri), Joe Weldon (Dinah), and Shane Weldon (Lee); his brother, Johnny Carter (Margaret); and a wealth of grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; extended family and friends.
