Married Barbara J. Harvey December 7, 1949. She survives.
Survivors include son Roy (Cindy) Smith; daughters Jeanette (Mike) Newlin and Sharon "Shari" (Brian) Sillery; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son Charles "Junior" Smith.

Graduate of New Market High School.
Employed 40 years at Raybestos.
Active member of Sonlight Wesleyan Church, where he held many positions including song leader. Member of Wabash club, Local 164 and NRA.
He liked to fish, hunt and take his dog for long walks.
He appeared in the movie "Hoosiers" driving his old chevy truck.

Service 11am Thursday, March 12, at Burkhart Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Jones officiating. Visitation 4-8pm Wednesday.

Memorial donations to Sonlight Wesleyan Church, Crawfordsville, IN.
