Lacy was the son of: Louisa Mae CLAY & James Henry Rorrer. Grandson of: Ladosca CANTLEY & James Mandeville Clay. G Grandson of: Mary FRAYLES & John Henry Rorrer.

Just a few days before his 14th birthday Lacy swallowed a saddle tack and died a few days later. Lacy had carved his initials into this stone and his mother, Louisa CLAY Rorrer, thought it would be appropriate to use this stone as his marker. Lacy is buried next to his parents in the cemetery.

This information was told to me by his sister Wavie RORRER Daniels and later confirmed by John Fulton Rorrer (March 2006). On my first visit to this cemetery, I had no idea who this was. In a recent interview (Summer 2002) with his sister Wavie RORRER Daniels she described the stone and where it was located. The stone was exactly where she said it was.
