She was born on April 27, 1923, in Aurora.
Elizabeth was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at Annunciation Church, The V.I.P.'s, The Women of the Moose #722 of Batavia, and was with the Avon Corp. since 1973.
Survivors include one son, Timothy (Tammy) Barkei of Aurora; three daughters, Mary (Gerald) Glosson and Rose Barkei, both of Aurora, and Beth (Ronald) Martin of North Aurora; thirteen grandchildren; one sister, Clara Denton, of Shreveport, Louisiana; two brothers, Robert Keup of Aurora and Richard Keup of Livermore, California; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Barkei, in 1982; three sons, Andrew, Edward, and Kenneth Barkei; two daughters, Theresa and Caroline Barkei; one sister, Sr. Michaelita Keup, O.S.F.; and four brothers, Matthew, Theodore, John, and Ralph Keup.
Funeral from the Daleiden Lake St. Mortuary will be held on Wednesday, March 19, at 9:30 a.m. to Annunciation Church at 10 a.m.
Father Mario Pedi, O.S.B. will officiate, with interment in Marywood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. with a liturgical wake service at 3:30 p.m. at the Daleiden Lake St. Mortuary, 220 N. Lake St. Aurora. 630-898-8634.
