Joel Stanley Babb, 82, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in a local hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Babb was the son of the late Joel Austin and Lissie Babb and was preceded in death by his first wife, Billie Babb Parker and his second wife, Pauline Babb and his son, Gregg Babb.

He was a member of the Teamsters Union for over 30 years and retired from the trucking industry.

He was an avid fisherman and an Alabama Fan.

He was loved by everyone who knew him.

Survivors are his three daughters, Mina Babb( Jaime), Ocean Springs, MS, Tammy (Kyle) Deal, Madison Heights, VR and Lanai (Larry) Yelverton, Ringgold, GA; son, Mark (Marie) Babb, Phenix City, AL; sister, Nomie Lee Flynn, Sulligent, AL; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday at 3 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Larry Nash officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
