Erma "Louise" (Litz) Kirk, age 94, of Bloomington, died at Hospitality House in Bedford on March 28, 2006.

Born March 19, 1912, in Monroe County, Ind., she was the daughter of James and Nellie (Hill) Litz.

She retired in 1970 from Clear Creek Elementary School, where she worked in food service. She was the oldest living member of Clear Creek Christian Church and was a member of the Women's Service Group.

She is survived by one daughter, Martha Ferguson of Bloomington, and two daughters and their husbands, Janet Smith and husband Warren of Bedford, and Mary Jo Lysher and husband David of Bradenton, Florida; one son, Kenneth Kirk and wife Carol of Bloomington; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl M. Kirk; her mother and father, James and Nellie Litz; one daughter, Erma McArtor and her husband Donald McArtor; son-in-law Jack M. Ferguson; two brothers, Alvin and Ervin Litz; one sister, Evelyn Adams; and three grandsons, Perry Kirk Smith, Donald McArtor Jr. and David McArtor.

Burial will be at Clear Creek Cemetery.
