Ruth Ilene Litz Taylor, age 87 of Bloomington passed away Saturday March 23, 2013 at Monroe House.

She was born April 14, 1925 in Bloomington to James L. Litz and Nellie G. Hill Litz of Clear Creek, Indiana.

Ruth worked as a a seamstress for several years with the Williams, Edwards, and Johnson company making drapes. She belonged to Sherwood Oaks Christian Church and at one time the Flying Hoosiers Motorcycle and Motor Club. She was an avid quilter and doing almost anything with her hands.

Survivors include her son Robert Taylor of Evansville; daughter Marsha Chapin and her husband George of Littleton, Colorado; son Jack Lee Taylor and his wife Linda of Bloomington; brother Hollis Litz and his wife Jean; several nieces and nephews; six grandchildren Julie Cline, Alan Taylor, Anita O'Curran, Debbie Ellis, Todd Taylor, Aimee Taylor Brock; great grand children Dylan Taylor, Jasen Taylor , Melissa, Michael, Mitchell, Gage, and Clarissa Taylor and great great grand children Khloee Lacole Walls-Taylor, Codie Taylor, and Hailey.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 51 years Oscar B. Taylor who died in April of 1993, one grandson Perry Taylor, two brothers Irvin and Toots Litz, and sisters Louise Kirk and Evelyn Adams.

Funeral services for Ruth will be held Tuesday March 26, 2013 at 1:30PM at the Allen Funeral Home 4155 South Old Highway 37.

Entombment will follow in the Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
