Mrs. Erickson was born in this city March 10, 1870, a daughter of Peter and Annie C. Monsen, early pioneer residents of this city. She was married in the Manti L D S temple to Eric Henry Erickson and lived in Mt. Pleasant all her life. Mr. Erickson was the town miller for many years. He died several years ago. Mrs. Erickson was active in her religious faith, serving as an officer in the ward Relief Society and other auxiliary organizations. She was a member of the ward choir for many years.
She is survived by several sons and daughters, Leo H. Erickson, Ephraim; Francis E. Erickson, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; Mrs. S. A. Allred, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Frank O. Jones, Lovell, Wyo.; Ralph Erickson, Lovell, Wyo.; Mrs. Wayne E. Johnson, Price, and Corporal Gerald Erickson, United States Army at Gilroy, Cal.; nine sisters, Mrs. Joseph Johansen, Mrs. O. M. Aldrich, Mrs. Nora McIntosh, Mrs. William West, Mrs. Sophia Johansen, all of Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Morlans Beck, Aberdeen Idaho; Mrs. Chris Jorgensen, Ephraim; Mrs. Lean M. Jensen, Magna, and Mrs. Seen Madson, Manti; three brothers, Peter Monsen, Hiawatha; James Monsen, Mt. Pleasant, and John Monsen, Salt Lake City; 23 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
