Lee Roy was born Sunday, September 11, 1932 in the Duncan, OK area to Roy and Freada (Ziegenfuss) Sweat. Lee Roy lived in the Duncn and Rush Springs areas all of his life and attended both the Star and Rush Springs Schools.
On January 14, 1958, he married Zula Woodrome in Duncan. She preceded him in death on March 30, 1991. Later, Lee Roy married Dixie Wilson in Rush Springs on January 1, 1992. He worked all of his life as a welder for numerous companies including Cline Industries and Coast Mfg. for many years. He loved to tinker in his shop and make many different things. He also raised goats and his grandchildren called him "Papa Goat". Lee Roy loved being outdoors and could often be found riding his horses, working in his garden or growing watermelons.
Survivors include, wife; a son; a daughter; step-daughter; 3 granddaughters; 8 great-grandchildren; a brother; 3 sisters.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Neola Abrams and his brother Bill Sweat.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at the Southern Baptist Church, with Rev. Richard McCormick officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery.
