Early Life: Gene was born September 13, 1934, in Levan, Utah, to John Wesley and Annie Jeanette Schow Bowers. He grew up and attended school in American Fork, Utah.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: On June 6, 1952, Gene married Etta May Nielson in Pleasant Grove, Utah, and spent 62 wonderful years together. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo Utah LDS Temple. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for many years and did jobs throughout the western United States. He enjoyed nothing more than camping, hunting and fishing with his family. He will be sorely missed by family and friends. Gene Wesley Bowers, of Pleasant Grove, Utah, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at his home. He was 80 years old.
Survived By: His wife, May; three sons: Tony (Shelly) Bowers, Dee (Jorjana) Bowers and Val (Shirilee) Bowers; 25 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Preceded In Death By: His two sons, Jerry and Coy; and his parents.
