Funeral services for Robert J. Rolen, 74, of Sikes, were held at the Hurricane Creek Church on Monday, August 25, with the Rev. Dyess officiating. Burial was in the Paul Willis Cemetery near Sikes, under direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Mr. Rolen died at the home of his son, J. J. Rolen, in Sikes, on Saturday, August 23, after an illness of three weeks.
He is survived by three sons, J. J. Rolen and O. E. Rolen of Sikes, and G. H. Rolen of Clarks, La.; two daughters, Mrs. Etta Folden of Atlanta, La., and Mrs. Leona Folden of Winnfield; two brothers, J. R. Rolen and G. J. Rolen of Sikes; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Allen of Mangham, La., and Mrs. Ida Parker of Crowville, La. He is also survived by a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
