Funeral services for Mrs. Jean Jenkins Alexander, 40, of 409 S. Main St. were held Monday, January 27 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Piedmont with Rev. Robert Lowery officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery with Mickelsen Brown-Service Mortuary in charge of services.

Mrs. Alexander died Friday, January 24,1964, at 9:35 p.m. at Piedmont Hospital after a short illness.

Survivors include her husband, Henry W. Alexander, Sr.; two sons, Henry W. Alexander, Jr. of the U.S. Air Force and Robert Stanley Alexander of Piedmont; one daughter, Miss Jean Suzanne Alexander of Piedmont; six sisters, Mrs. Alpha J. Givens of Chattanooga, TN, Mrs. Nina Smith of Birmingham, Mrs. Eula J. Aldridge and Mrs. Marcilla J. Turner of Moulton, GA, and Mrs. Sybil J. Gibson and Mrs. Martha J. Terry of Town Creek; two brothers, Robert A. Jenkins of Morristown, TN and E. T. Jenkins of Washington, D.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Norris Morgan, Gwen Little, Brad Snead, Fred Woods, Bill Wilson and Charles Miller.

Mrs. Alexander had resided in Piedmont for the past nine years. A former resident of Birmingham, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Piedmont. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert H. Jenkins and Eliza Jane Crisler Jenkins.
