Elizabeth married John on September 3, 1836 in Burgle Marsh, Lincolnshire, England

Family History: History of the John Wells Bagley family in England, Canada and USA. John & Elizabeth lived in Burg Le Marsh, Lincolnshire, England at least in the years 1837-1850. They were said to have "owned a mill" "on the wash" also own a large manor house with beatiful china and silver.
This is doubtful as their children's birth certificates state his occupation as "labourer" and Elizabeth could not read or write.

They were said to have left hurriedly (in the night) after a scandal (Elizabeth was said to have injured a barmaid in a jealous rage). They said traveled for 17 weeks to reach Canada. Elizabeth had her baby on board ship. The baby died and she was very ill. They landed in Kingston, Canada on Aug 12, 1850 (hearsay) and "went directly to Waterloo". Elizabeth was very ill and died "in the fall" of 1851 or the same year they arrived.
