Tabitha Wills was born in. Clay County, Missouri. Her father, Jams B. Wills, came to Texas with his wife and children, in order to homestead. Tabitha met Alexander J. Dallas and married him December 30, 1841 in Washington County, TX. Tabitha & Alexander were my paternal g.g.grandparents.

Tabitha and Alexander had seven children, the 5th being my g.grandfather, Reuben Thomas Dallas.

Tabitha and Alexander raised their children on their homestead at Darrs Creek, Bell County, TX.

Tabitha died at her home on Darrs Creek November 13, 1860, at the age of just 36, with seven children at home.

She is buried at the top of the hill in the Dallas cemetery that her husband established upon her death.. Alexander is buried next to her, and his second wife, Margaret on the other side. Some of their offspring and other relatives are also buried there.

Dois Dallas, my father, specified in his will that 'a portion of his ashes be established at the Dallas Cemetery'; and his gravestone is next to his g.grandparents. (The majority of his ashes are at the AZ Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix).
