William Riley Wills was the son of James Buchanan Wills who was born abt. 1798 in Tennessee and died aft. 1873 in Milam Co., Texas and Amy Shackelford Wills who was born abt. 1798 in Virginia and died aft. 1860 in Bell or Milam Co., Texas. They are buried in unmarked graves.
He enlisted in the Mexican-American War from Nov. 28, 1847-Nov. 18, 1848. He enlisted in the Civil War Aug 1861 and served until the end of the war.
