Lee Baker
Ottumwa -- Vencle Lee Baker Jr. 26, of 120 North Moore died Jun 13, 1994, as a result of an automobile accident six miles north of What Cheer on Iowa Highway 21.
He was born Aug 21, 1967, in St Roberts, MO to Vencle and Rita Harland Baker Sr.
A 1986 graduate of Ottumwa High School, he was an employee of David Maxwell Construction in What Cheer.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Thanye Mart of Ottumwa; two sisters, Julie Gusman and Angela Keasling of Ottumwa; a half sister, Kay of St Roberts; grandparents, Betty and Mark McDavitt of Ottumwa; his fiance, Sue Johns, a stepdaughter, Jamie Johns, and a stepson, Jeff Johns, all of Ottumwa.
He was preceded in death by his father and an infant brother, Bobby Baker.
The service will be 2 pm Thursday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, the Rev Loyal Hepker of East End Pentecostal Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation is open after 1 pm today at the funeral home. Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm.
The casket will remain closed.
Memorials may be made to the family.
