Helen M. Bender McCue, 87, of N7002 Winnebago Drive, died Friday, May 24, 2002. .She was born on April 6, 1915, in Waukegan, IL., a daughter of Louis C. and Florence A. Sneesby Kraft. Helen was a 1933 graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School. On July 12, 1939, she married Robert Bender; and later wed Leonard McCue on March 17, 1974, at Cathedral Church of St. Paul, of which she was a member. Helen enjoyed bowling. Survivors include four children, Robert Bender and his wife, Dolores of South Beloit, IL., Judy Flanders and her husband, Daniel of Fond du Lac, Richard Bender and his wife, Sandy of Knoxville, Tenn., and James Bender and his wife, Mary of Knoxville, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Carol Westphal and June Heisler, both of Fond du Lac, and Hope Guesling of Altona, Wis.; three step-daughters, Mrs. Allen (Charlotte) Stevens and Sandy (Robert) Peterson, both of Sheboygan Falls, and Janet (Ernest) Carlson of Gladwin, Mich.; 11 step-grandchildren; 21 step-greatgrandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; a special niece, "Katie;" and a special friend, Anita Smith. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Leonard McCue on June 11, 1977; seven brothers; four sisters; one great-grandchild; one stepdaughter; six sisters-in-law; and six brothers-in-law. Services: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., today, at Cathedral Church of St. Paul, with the Very Rev. Robert B. Clarke officiating. Burial will follow at Es-tabrooks Cemetery. Visitation: From noon until the time of services today at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cathedral Church of St. Paul or St. Agnes Hospice Hope. - A special thanks to St. Agnes Hospice for their care and compassion, and also to Marge Jacobs of the Cathedral. Mach Funeral Chapel is serving the family.
