Lucinda Jane & Edward Bloxton's fifth son (born 1841-1842), Orion Posey "O.P." Bloxton. He died between 1890 (Gardener, Birmingham, AL directory) and 1900, when Frances, widowed, was living with her nephew, John (Martha) Hooks.

O.P. was living with the Morgan family after Miss Willie A. Morgan, daughter of Alben/Albin A. Morgan (1810 TN - before June 1880 Census) and Eliza Morgan (Jan 1811 TN/TN/TN -) of Harpersville, Shelby, AL, became pregnant with their child, Annie E. Bloxton. Willie's brother, W.H. Morgan (1850 AL/KY/TN -), had named his daughter (born March 1880, Anderson Co,TX/AL/TX - 16 Apr 1974, Dallas, TX) after Willie (Willie Morgan Lindblom), so O.P.'s wife may have died before then. In 1900, Willie's mother only had 2 living children of the 9 she birthed. Sixteen year old Willie's family only lived seven farms away from where O.P. (19) was staying in 1860:

1860 Census (July 23, 1860),
Farm #833, Harpersville, Shelby, AL,
O.P. Bloxton (19), b. ca 1840, AL & little bro,
William Bloxton (10), b. ca 1850, AL
living with MORGAN FAMILY:
Morgan, John M. (49), (1811 SC - 1866 AL)
Morgan, Catherine (35),
b. 1825, AL/or 1832 VA
Morgan, Theodore Dolas (6), b. 1854, AL
Morgan, Laura (4), b. 1856, AL
John M. Morgan married Catherine Susan Florey on October 10, 1853, in Alabama, when he was 42 years old.

O.P.'s older brother, Henry E. Bloxton (21), was also living with a MORGAN Family on the 1860 Census (July 23, 1860), 7 farms down on Farm #840, Harpersville, Shelby Co., Alabama:
Jas H Morgan 35, Milling
Eugenia (Moor) Morgan 25, Housewife
Cynthia E Morgan 7
Wm B Morgan 3
Lewis A Morgan 1
HENRY E. BLOXTON 21, Farmer

O.P. enlisted in the Confederate Infantry on 21 Aug 1861, Harpersville, Shelby, AL, and was paroled as a Prisoner of War on May 12, 1865, Meridian, MS.

O.P. was married to his first wife, Willie A. Morgan, on 16 Mar 1861, Shelby, Alabama; married by William Hannah, Justice of the Peace. [FHL Film Number: 1571844 IT 1-5] after their daughter was born. They had ANNIE E. BLOXTON (Mar. 4, 1861 -
Sep. 27, 1878, age 17), who, at age 7, was staying with her Aunt Mary Jane Bloxton McGowen on the 1870 Census (June 1, 1870), Wilsonville P.O., Shelby, AL. [I could find neither O.P. nor Willie on the 1870 Census.]

Capt. Samuel Bloxton's widow, Benedicta Maddox Bloxton, married her second husband, Edward Fleury. Coincidentally, an Edward Florey & Susan Maddox Florey (whose last name was also spelled multiple ways) were parents of John M. Morgan's wife, Catherine Florey Morgan (where O.P. & William Bloxton were living when W.A. Morgan was pregnant with Annie E. Bloxton). I'm sure O.P.'s first wife is related to these Morgans, but have not been able to make the connection yet. Also, these Morgans could be related to OUR Maddox or Florey families through Catherine Florey Morgan.

Pictured here is his marriage certificate to #2, Miss Penelope Elizabeth "P. E." Milner (b: May 1, 1850, Georgia - d: 1871-1876, Dallas County, AL) in Selma, Dallas County, AL, on November 17, 1870 (married by James A. Clement, Minister of Gospel). He was about age 28 or 29, and he signed an agreement to pay $500 to the State of AL along with Mrs. B.A. (Bethany A.) Milner (his bride's mother) IF there turned out to be some legal reason why the marriage should be obstructed; otherwise, they didn't owe the State any money.

P.E. Milner is probably Martin Milner's 2nd Great-Grand Aunt Penelope Elizabeth Milner:

1850 Census (Sep 9, 1850), Henry Co, GA:
John H. Milner 20 (1830-1864)
Bethany Ann (Castleberry) Milner 18 (12/30/1831)
Penelope Elizabeth Milner BLOXTON 0
JWB/JE Milner 14 (1836-1901)
(probably John's brother-on 1860 Census w/Pitt, age 6)

Miss Penelope Milner (18), Seamstress, was on the 1870 Census in Selma, AL, with her mother, Bethany A. (Castleberry) Milner (35) (b. Dec 30, 1831), Seamstress, and her younger sister, Anna Milner (6). They were all born in Georgia. Penelope's father, John Henry Milner (b: Jan 17, 1830, GA - d: ca 1864, Henry County, GA) was deceased. John & Bethany were married Dec 26, 1847, Henry County, GA.)

O.P. Bloxton also married Frances "Frankie" Hooks (1845/1845 - 1900 AL) on January 25, 1877 in Dallas County, Alabama.

Judy Davis shared with me today that Frankie was NOT the daughter of Owen Columbus Hooks; rather, the daughter of Captain Columbus C. Hooks (1808-1848) & Dorcas Callen (1809-1894).

"Owen Columbus Hooks was Frankie's nephew. Owen Columbus Hooks was the son of John Ross Hooks. Owen Columbus was called "Lum" Hooks, and he was named for both of his grandfathers:
OWEN Griffin Wright and
COLUMBUS C. Hooks"

Thank-you to Judy Davis for also solving the mystery about the five extra children assigned (on the internet for years) to O.P. (or his brother, Henry) and Frankie.

O.P. & Frankie are reported to have had five children (three boys and two girls) together, but as Judy pointed out 2/24/2015, those children belonged to a Henry & Frances Blockson, not O.P. & Frankie, so no relation:
1880 Census-Wilcox County, Alabama census, ED 184, sheet 40
Henry Blockson 36, Frances 34, Jessie 12, Albert 9, Fannie 6, Lola 3, Luckie 2, Edward Blockson 6 {sr}
O.P. had a brother named Henry Bloxton, but he died in 1880.

Luchia/Luther Bloxton was the only son/child born after O.P. & Frankie were married in 1877. There is no evidence of any children born to O.P. & Penelope. Luchia/Luther Bloxton, born 1878, is gone by the 1900 Census when Frankie was Orion's widow, so their son died between 1880 & 1900, and O.P. died between 1890 & 1900.

Orion's older brother, J.O./James Ovarion was killed in action during the Civil War on December 20, 1861, in Dranesville, Fairfax County, VA, so there is no need to confuse the two brothers.

Bill Deyo has shared a photo (front & back) posted here of Orion alone, about age 28-29, taken January 20, 1870, Selma, AL.

On the 1860 Virginia Census, he was visiting his mother's brother, his Uncle Simeon Conway Peyton (1828-1905), son of Sarah (Maddox) Peyton and Thomas A. Peyton. Simeon & Jane's brother, James H. (Lucy A. Monteith) Peyton (Apr 17, 1824 Stafford VA - Mar 3, 1908), of King George, VA, survived them and their sister, Rebecca Martin Peyton (Mrs John Allen).

Simeon Peyton was living & farming with his Virginia natives parents and brother on the Nov 18, 1850 Eastern District, Stafford, Virginia Census:
Thomas A. Peyton 63, Farmer
Sarah Peyton 55
James H Peyton 26, Farmer
Rebecca Martin Peyton (Mrs John Allen) 24 (1826 Stafford - 15 May 1854, Ferry Farm, Stafford VA, age 28 - died after giving birth to Rebecca Martin Allen in May 1854 - d. 12 Apr 1855)

On the 1850 Alabama Census, Orion was living with his parents and siblings in Shelby County.
