Chester Clay Lacy, 73, husband of Bonnie Hall Lacy, passed away Saturday, February 21 at University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington. He was born August 3, 1941 in Stanton to the late Granville Alexander and Zula Belle Tipton Lacy. He was a Marine Veteran, deputy jailer for the Powell County Detention Center, and a Kentucky Colonel. He was retired from local union 181. A conservative Republican, he was a proud Marine to serve his country and serve on the honor guard for General McArthur. Survivors include, Wife, Bonnie Lacy, Stanton; Son, Daniel Lacy, Stanton; Daughters, Donna and husband Gary Romine, Newark, OH, Denise and husband Donald Curtis, Stanton, and Darla Lacy, Stanton; Brother, Garland and wife Sue Lacy; Grandchildren, Adam Romine, Kyle Lacy, Hannah Curtis, Lacy Romine, Natalie Curtis, Kayla Lacy, Luke Pasley, Emily Romine, and Jake Curtis. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Garry Randy Lacy and Ted Lacy. Services Wednesday, February 25, 2:00PM Davis & Davis Funeral Home by Rev. Garland Lacy, Rev. Marion Brewer, and Rev. Harold Kelly. Visitation Tuesday 5-9pm at the funeral home. Burial in Donnie G. Randall Veterans Cemetery, Stanton with Powell County Jailer and Deputy Jailers, Travis Crabtree, Danny Allen, Lawrence Cox, Gerald Tharpe, Brett Petty, and Neal Hamilton. Honorary pallbearers are Dairy Queen's Table of Knowledge, DAV, Marine Corp League Honor Guard, American Legion, his Hero Ernest Snowden, Powell County Detention Center Staff, Christian Fellowship Church of God, Charles Boyd, Herman Owens, Forest Trent, local union 181, Jim Jones, staff Whitaker Bank, and all of his community friends.
