Harry Carlton Spinar, 81, of Hamilton, Missouri, formerly of Windsor and Sedalia, Mo., died Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Hillcrest Manor, Hamilton, Mo.

He was born February 28, 1933 in Redbird, Nebraska, the son of Frank James Spinar and Janie Melvina (Witherwax) Spinar. On June 10, 1955, in Kansas City, Mo., he married Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Gonce and to this union four children were born.

Mr. Spinar was a farmer and also worked as a meat inspector for the USDA from 1972 to 1993. He served the United States during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Army and tried to live his life as a “good soldier” in the army of God, throughout his life.

Survivors include a son, Doyle Wayne Spinar and his wife Shelly, Point, Texas; 2 daughters, Mary Jane Spinar, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Sidney Segar and her husband Junior, Polo, Mo.; 7 grandchildren, Emily Spinar; Dakota Spinar and Houston Spinar; Misty Dawn Bolling; Lyla Fae Norton and her husband Ernie; Conda Renee Kincaid and her husband Darin; Cody Ray Segar; 11 great-grandchildren including, Abigail Dawn Bolling; Landon Scot Norton; Dalton Aaron Bolling; Chase Tucker Kincaid; Layna Reece Norton; Libby Jade Norton; Wade Cooper Kincaid; Dotty Lynn Bolling; Elly Grace Norton; Bristal Jolene Bolling; a sister Ada Hartsock, Hamilton, Mo.; and a sister-in-law, Hazel Spinar, Cole Camp, Mo. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Ann Spinar; a sister, Betty June Spinar; 3 brothers, Elvin, Phillip, and Harold Spinar; a brother-in-law, John Hartsock, and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Spinar.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, February 23, 2015, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with George Peterson and Greg Willert co-officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. Friends may call Sunday from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to a fund to benefit Harry’s great-granddaughter, Bristal Jolene Bolling.
