She was born July 5, 1904, in Highland, Utah, to Niels Peter and Jeanette Yates Johnson. Married Eugene Alexander Kidd on August 12, 1926, in Provo, Utah. Marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Verda was a seamtress and had lived in Highland, Bingham, Magna, Bluffdale, Salt Lake City, and Lehi. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in the Relief Society, choir, MIA, and was a stake missionary. She helped many missionaries and always helped those in need. She had a great love for flowers and was the only survivor of 14 children.
Survived by two sons and one daughter, Bobby E. (Shirley) Kidd, Salt Lake City; Richard A. (Yvonne) Kidd, Layton; Verla K. Turner, Lehi; 26 grandchildren, 74 great- grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene, three children, Keith Tracy and Wallace J. Kidd, Jeanette Oberhansley; and four grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, November 23, 1999, at 11 a.m. in the Lehi 12th Ward LDS Chapel, 1149 No. 300 West, Lehi. Friends may call Monday evening, 5-7 p.m. at the Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, and at the church Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery.
