The funeral services of the late Anders G. Anderson of Carlos were held Thursday afternoon from the Ida Swedish Lutheran church, Rev. A. Mattson officiating. Mr. Anderson, who had just passed the eightieth milestone, had been ill some time and had gone to a Minneapolis hospital for relief. He died Monday of that week, and his remains were brought home for interment by his only son, G.A. Anderson of this city. This son is the only surviving member of his immediate family. There are ten grandchildren.
Mr. Anderson was born in Bersbo, Ostergotland, Sweden, in 1836 and came to this country when 36 years of age. He came to Douglas County in 1876 and took the homestead in Carlos which has since been his home, and on which he resided with his grandson, Theo. Anderson. He was highly respected in the neighborhood in which he had so long resided. The pallbearers were J.W. Erickson, Carl Erickson, Theo. Erickson, C.W. Anderson, A.M. Olson, and C. J. Christopherson.
