The funeral of Cherry Scott who died Sat. afternoon at Dalhart was held at 10:00 Tues. morning. Interment was in the Old Family burial ground in Prices Chapel. The remains were shipped from Dalhart, reaching Cleburne Monday night.

He was the son of James H. Scott and Mary I. Scott

He was raised at Price's Chapel. About two years ago he went to Clayton and took up a claim on which he had been living. When he became suddenly ill last Friday, he was rushed to Dalhart for an operation but death won out the next day. He was just 27 years of age, a splendid young man in the prime of life, and had a large number of friends here who are saddened because of his death.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Scott, four sisters, two in New Mexico and Mary Clemmie Scott Rosser and Mrs. J.D. Richardson of Cleburne and a brother Thomas Birt Scott, also of Cleburne.
