DEATH MAY BE SUICIDE:
A 35 year old Hardwick man apparently shot himself to death with a 12-gauge shotgun Tuesday afternoon.
Sgt. Jim Higgins of the Baldwin County Sheriff's Department says William Wayne Hines was found dead on the floor of his bedroom at 144 Bloodworth Street by his nine-year old son Julius. The boy, his mother, and two other children had just returned home and were preparing for a cookout when Mr. Hines body was found.
Mr. Hines was employed at Central State Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. William Wayne Hines, age 35, of Bloodworth Street Milledgeville, Georgia were conducted July 5 in Williams Memorial Chapel. Burial followed in Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Hines was employed by the Central State Hospital steam plant. He was a native of Wilkinson County but had made his home in Baldwin County for most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of Snow Hill Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edna Hines of Milledgeville; one daughter, Miss Chris Hines; two sons, Mr. William Hines and Mr. Julian Hines, all of Milledgeville; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Hines of Milledgeville; three sisters, Mrs. Margie Pounds of Jacksonville, Florida, Mrs. Bobbie Parham, and Mrs. Cheryl Grambling, both of Milledgeville; one brother, Mr. Larry Hines of Gordon; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Samantha Hines of Milledgeville.
Williams Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
