Florine E. “Tiny” Whited, age 87, of Mount Liberty Road, Centerburg, Ohio, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Country Club Retirement Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 12, 1927 the daughter of Edwin and Elizabeth (Noon) Ruffing. Florine worked as a nurse aide for the former Martin Memorial Hospital in Mount Vernon. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars #4027, Amvets Post #95 and Colonial City Moose Lodge #2555.
She is survived by her children, Mary (David) Walker of Fredericktown, Marsha (John) Miller of Mount Vernon, Mira (Joe) Berry of Mount Vernon, Les (Donna) Whited of Centerburg, Brent Whited of Mount Vernon, Dave (Jody) Whited of Fredericktown and Brenda Kyle of Howard, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, a sister, Mary Houle of Holland, Michigan and a brother, Edwin Ruffing of Norwalk.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Cohan L. Whited (1969), a daughter, Marie Ann Moran, two sisters, Lucille Baumgard and Jean Wright.
