OBITUARY:
Russell D. Obermann, 62, 1342 County Road 213, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center from injuries received in a farm accident on Tuesday. He was born Feb. 22, 1933, at Dutchtown, son of Harry William and Adela Schneider Obermann. He and Marilyn Huffman were married Feb. 15, 1958, at Gordonville. Mr. Obermann had farmed all his life. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Gordonville and VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sherri Gerecke of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Doug Obermann of Kansas City and Steve (Tammy) Obermann of Cape Girardeau; a brother, H. W. Obermann of Chesterfield; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Friday. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Jeffrey Sippy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with graveside rites by VFW Post 3838.
