Adela M. Obermann, 97, of Cape Girardeau (Dutchtown), died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at the Lutheran Home.

Obermann was born Nov. 25, 1901, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Edward and Rose Ebert Schneider. She and Harry Obermann were married April 14, 1921, at Cape Girardeau. Obermann was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of the Ladies Aid at Zion.

She is survived by a son, H.W. Obermann of Chesterfield; a brother, Norman Schneider of Dallas, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Obermann was preceded in death by her husband, a son, a daughter, two brothers, three sisters and a grandchild.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Gordonville. The Rev. Wayne Schwiesow will officiate. Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park.
