Obituary

Christine Anita Stafford, 91, formerly of Kellysville, WV passed away Friday, February 6, 2015 at Golden Living Center/Briarwood in Tucker, Georgia.
Born August 26, 1923 in Salem, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Atkins and Mamie (Woods) Atkins. She married her true love, James Robert Stafford on July 31, 1942. She was a devoted wife for 57 years prior to his passing in 1999. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother and friend. She was a member of the Pentecost Chapel of Praise, and a lifelong worker devoted to the church. She led the church singing, and taught Bible studies. She worked tirelessly throughout her career as a secretary for Celanese, Appalachian Power Company, Princeton State Police, North American Rockwell, And the Heath Center in Princeton.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Reggie, and Ronnie; and four sisters, Barbara, Jackie, Anne, and Edna.
She will be sadly missed by her four children: Janice Hill of Knoxville, TN, Gary Wayne Stafford of Princeton, James Barry Stafford of Princeton, and Karen J. Stafford of Norcross, GA; two sisters, Norma Jean Gay and Audrey Stubbs; eight grandchildren, Sherri Whittemore, Michael Hill, Jared Hill, Lori Beth Hill, Christy Dehart, Shannon DiRenzo, Megan Ramsey, and Jamie Stafford; two great grandchildren, Patrick and Andrew Whittemore; one great-great grandson, Jerry Dean Hill; and many beloved friends.
Funeral services for Christine will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Larry and Naomi White officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the services.
Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton, WV
