Lillian married Robert Eugene Flowers June 22, 1940. Their marriage lasted 49 ½ years until his death October 23, 1989. She was employed at Nu-Way Cleaners and Laundry for 43 years. Lillian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a caring sister to her siblings. She loved her church in Marietta, Crestview Baptist, now GracePointe Baptist and her church family. After her illness while visiting family in Texas in October, 2009, Rambling Oaks Nursing Home in Highland Village, Texas became her residence where she attended services every Sunday.
Loving family members who remain are her children Jerry Flowers and wife Marge of Denton, Texas, Don Flowers and wife Diane of Richmond, Texas, and Patsy Chaney and husband Ralph of Bartlett, Tennessee. She leaves nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral service was held in the chapel of Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home. Burial was at Mountain View Park Cemetery in Marietta, Georgia. The Reverend Mike Faulkner officiated. Pallbearers were Randy Flowers, Travis Chaney, Nolan Granzin, Jason Brian, Bobby Cantrell, and Charles Lewis.
