Virginia Millsaps Worley died February 4, 2015. She was born west of Crystal Springs on Sumrall Road to Ben Hill Millsaps and Eulalee Green Millsaps on August 8, 1917.

It was in Jackson she met Herbert Worley, and they married in 1941. He was immediately drafted into the Army and sent overseas to serve in the Middle East Theater.

Virgina lived in Jackson and Madison most of her life, except during World War II when she lived in Hattiesburg while her husband was stationed at Camp Shelby. She also lived in Lexington, VA while he was encamped at Washington and Lee University in school.

She was preceded in death by her husband , Herbert N. Worley, her parents and brother and sister-in-law, Paul G. Millsaps, Sr. and Edith Davis Millsaps. Survivors include her nephew, Paul G. Millsaps, Jr. (Tracey) of Starkville, MS; niece, Ann Millsaps Forster (Robert), Oxford, MS; three great nieces, two great nephews, two great, great nieces and four great, great nephews.

She resided for many happy years at St. Catherine’s Village and leaves many friends there. Virginia was a member of First Baptist Church, Madison, MS.

There will be a graveside service on Saturday, February 21, at 2:00 p.m. in Starkville, MS, at Oktibbeha Memorial Gardens where her ashes will be interred.
