She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church and retired from Airport Elementary in Weslaco.
Alicia is survived by her husband, Donald Kirkhart; a daughter, Hilda (Ronald) Rodriguez; two grandsons, Ronnie and Joseph; her siblings, Regino Hernandez, Guadalupe Hernandez, Adela Lopez and Avelina Hernandez; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation will be held with a rosary at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
