Early Life: Clift was born on December 30, 1928, to Thomas Levi Heaps and Julia Isabella Kershaw Heaps in Rigby, Idaho.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: On April 29, 1947, he married Pearl Janet Street in the Provo Courthouse; they were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1952. George worked for Geneva Steel for 30 years as a Brick Mason. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Clift served a part-time service mission in the Provo Tabernacle with his wife, Janet. George Clift Heaps passed away on February 7, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was 86.
