Imogene Staton Hill (June 11, 1922 - February 7, 2015)

Imogene Staton Hill, 92, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015. Born in Silverlake, Texas to Robert & Verna Staton. She lived most of her life in Grand Prairie, Texas, where she worked and retired from Vought Aircraft Co. She was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church in Grand Prairie. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved to travel and spend time with her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert & Verna Staton, brothers Robert & William Staton, sister Bonnie Staton Kelley, and grandson Jeffrey McLeroy.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Eustace D. Hill, one son, Phillip McLeroy & his wife Janet, grandson Steven McLeroy & wife Kara and their children Mitchell, Tanner, and Meagan, granddaughter Amy McLeroy Day & husband Brian and their children Kylie & Cannon. She leaves one sister, Linda Staton Gambrell & husband Johnny, and many other extended family members.
Interment: Graveside service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington, Texas.

Silverlake, TX was a station on the Texas & Pacific Railroad, near the southern line of Rains County (abutting Smith County), 118 miles west of Shreveport, Louisiana.

Imogene died at home in Mansfield, TX.
