Marie Clark, age 86 of Pikeville, died Thursday, August 9, 2007 in Rhea Medical Center in Dayton, Marie was born in Rhea County on March 25, 1921 the daughter of the late Russell and Nannie (Miller) Brady. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Clark, son, Rodger Clark, daughters, Carolyn Jarrett and Sandra Messimer, grandsons, Thomas Miller and Brandon Collier, sisters, Claudine Swafford and Audry Wilkey and her brother Johnny Brady. Marie lived most of her life in the Summer City community in Bledsoe County and was one of the first members of the Summer City Baptist Church. Marie was a homemaker and loved her flowers. Marie is survived by her daughters, Shirley Miller of Sale Creek, Barbara (Tom) Swafford, Margaret Clark and Marcia (Gene) Kirkland all of Pikeville, sisters, Margie Lloyd of Dayton, Bernice Gann of AR, brother, Edgar Brady of CA, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Funeral services for Marie will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm EST in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Stuart, Jeff Swafford and Kevin Shadwick officiating. Burial with a white dove release will follow in the Summer City Cemetery in Bledsoe County. The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Saturday from 4:00pm until 9:00pm EST.
