MOUNT PROSPECT – Services for Richard F. Bell, 87, will be Saturday, at 11 a.m. at Northwest Covenant Church, 300 N. Elmhurst Ave. Mount Prospect.  Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation Friday, 3 to 8 p.m. at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Highway), Mount Prospect.

Born January 11, 1928, in White County, IL, at rest February 7, 2015, at home.  Dick was a longtime member of Northwest Covenant Church where he participated in Community Bible Study and was a member of Promise Keepers.  He loved his wife of 51 years, Amy, his children, grandchildren and family.  He was passionate about gardening and had an exceptional tomato crop to share.  He served in the Korean War.  He was a lifelong Cubs fan who was acknowledged at a Chicago Cubs game in June 2014.  Dick was an auto mechanic for over 40 years and taught his daughters how to work on cars.  He was a quiet man who loved and served the Lord.

Beloved husband of the late Amy.  Dear father of Alice (Don) Quick, Gwen (Don) Foster, Norma (John) Crawford, Mary (Rick) Palmer and Nancy (Dave) Hanson.  Cherished grandfather of Jeffrey, Richard Blake (Michelle), Eric, J. Alexander, Rebecca, Erin (Matt), Natalie (Ian), Nathan (Darcy), Stephanie, Andrea, Hannah, Zachary, Ryan, William (Shannon) and Melanie.  Loving great-grandfather of Reese, Logan, Jackson, Avery and two more to arrive soon.
