Henry was married to Magdalena (Martha or Mattie) Ober. Henry owned property in Halifax, Dauphin County, Pa. He co-signed with his father, Jacob Sr., several of the yearly license applications required to run a public house on the bank of the Susquenhanna River. Henry removed to Cass County, Indiana sometime around 1853. His children and some of his nephews had migrated a few years prior.
