Jessie L. Watts, 87, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004, at Bel-Wood Nursing Home.

Born Nov. 20, 1916, in Brisco, Mo., to Nyde and Beatrice Overton Davis, she married Gladstone L. Watts on Jan. 11, 1936, in Louisiana, Mo. He died April 8, 1973, in Peoria Heights.

She also was preceded in death by one infant son, one daughter, one brother and one sister.

Surviving are two sons, Charles Sr. (and Mary) and Gerald (and Gloria); one daughter, Angie (and Frank) Gordon; and two sisters, Dorothy Brooks and Margurite Sutton.

She had worked as a supervisor of housekeeping at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.

Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
